Youngmin Lee, Jogakbo Cloth
The Jogakbo (조각보), created by Youngmin Lee in indigo-dyed fabrics in 2021. Her patchwork textile piece is also called bojagi (보자기), a traditional Korean wrapping cloth used for various purposes, including gift wrapping, carrying objects, and as a decorative element.

Youngmin Lee
"Youngmin Lee, a Korean-born artist, holds a master’s degree in fashion design and a bachelor’s degree in clothing and textiles. She has presented numerous workshops, classes, and demonstrations on Korean arts and crafts around the Bay Area. Recently, she demonstrated her Bojagi and Maedub in the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco as part of the Asia Alive Program. She also had participated Oakland Museum’s Lunar New Year celebration with her Bojagi and Maedub artworks.”

Park Jisook
"Park Jisook was born in 1963 and received her Ph.D., M.F.A., and B.F.A. from Hongik University in Seoul. She is a professor in the Arts Education department at Seoul National University of Education. Working with pencil, pen, or ink in combination with acrylic, Park believes in dynamic and creative freedom: Allowing the network of lines, dots, and organic forms to flow freely onto her canvas. Her works have been exhibited widely in Japan, Beijing, China, Germany, France, and New York, and commissioned by numerous institutions including Faber-Castell (250th anniversary), Perrier-Jouët, and others."
